Alice

Bluetick Coonhound

Adopted!

Alice is a beautiful girl who is making lots of progress in her foster home.  She enjoys being inside, and she really enjoys lying on the couch or bed.  She also loves playing with toys, and her foster family thinks this must be new to her because she did not know what to do at first. She especially loves, loves, loves to play fight with her foster brother, Buddy!  Alice is still being housed trained, but is coming along great. Her last accident in the house was a week ago!  She walks very well on her leash.
Loud noises scare Alice, and her foster family feels it’s possible she may have been abused.  When she first came to them, her foster dad tripped walking by her, and she cowered to the floor. At other times, when he raised his hand to pet her, she put down her head. But she’s realizing that she’s not going to get hit or abused in her foster home!
Even though it is taking longer with commands and they’re still working on stay, sit, etc., she is coming along well.  In fact, the only real problem they have with Alice is she is a counter surfer!

Alice was adopted on April 15, 2019.
