Elliott is one of the sweetest little Chihuahuas I’ve met. He so wants to please and do good. He LOVES to cuddle in your lap. He sleeps in bed with me and his foster brother Chihuahua mix, and is a good boy all night. When he first came to his foster home, he was afraid to go outside without me going out with him. I feel this is due to the fact that in his previous home he was put outside to stay all the time either tied out or in a pen. Now that he has settled and become trusting, and knowing that he won’t be left outside, he will go outside on his own. He has learned to come in the doggie door but not out of it yet ( it is an XL one and higher off the ground). He has been very good in the house lately and goes outside to potty. He also gets along with all the dogs in his foster home (big and small) and the dogs he meets at events.

When I come home from work, Elliott gets so excited you would think his little butt is going to wiggle right off him. He brings a smile every day.

Elliott is still shy with new people, but he has been doing very well at events. An adopter would have to just be patient with Elliott and let him open up with them. Because of he bad past, he just needs to learn that all people are not bad and there is nothing to be scared of anymore. He warmed up to me within 12 hours. All you have to do is show him love and he will return it 10 fold.
