Lex

Pug

Not available for adoption

Lex is a super sweet (and cute) 13 year old Pug. He is of the old-style Pugs where he has longer legs and a bit larger. He just loves to cuddle next to someone and be held like a baby. Lex is blind, deaf, and diabetic but it doesn’t stop him from enjoying walking around and cuddling on the couch. His diabetes is under control with the help of a good diet and insulin shots 2-times a day, and is very good at taking his shots. He is house broken and will let you know when he needs to go out. He has never been crated in his foster home, instead gated in the kitchen area with his bed and has done great. We are working on getting him used to wearing an Optivizor to protect his face while wondering around. He is doing OK with it.

Lex has attended a few events so far and has not been startled when people come to meet him or when other dogs meet him. He engages with people and other dogs happily. If held in your arms like a baby, he quickly relaxes and goes to sleep. Lex would love to have a home where he can cuddle with you and spend the day dreaming away.

Lex is forever in our hearts.
