Update Miss Olive is doing great! She even runs now. She loves being part of the pack here. Playing with her stuffed animals is her favorite thing to do, besides gumming her Nyla-bones
Meet Olive! Olive is one of our forever fosters! She was picked up from the Humane Society of Fort Worth TX on Jan. 18. She was found as a stray and brought in. She is a 2.7 lb. Chi and 14 yrs. young. She has cataracts and is blind, had mammary tumors, 9 rotten teeth and had not been spayed. Surprisingly, her vet appointment was good. Blood work all normal, she just had a UTI. That was treated and 2 weeks later she was spayed, had all her teeth pulled, and tumors removed.
Olive has stage 1 kidney failure due to her glomerulonephritis, but is on a med that is working well. It’s bringing her protein down and keeping her from losing albumin. She’s doing great! She weighs a whooping 3 lbs. now and loves to eat. Olive has a large personality. Snuggling with me and her fur siblings is her favorite thing to do when she’s not busy “killing” her stuffed toys. You would never know she’s 14!
Olive is not currently available for adoption, they are a forever foster.
