Pluto

Australian Shepherd

Available for adoption!

Update:
Hi, this is Pluto again. I forgot to add that my furever home should have a fenced-in yard, as I am a puppy and love to run around the yard. I am quick, so please, when I am outside, keep me on a leash unless I am in a fenced-in yard.

I also need an “alpha” owner, someone who will take charge and train me. The best training for me would be in a training center where I will learn all kinds of manners and tricks. This will help form a bond between me and my owner, and give me something to do. I am very confident, not afraid of anything, happy and energetic. And, of course, being a puppy, I need structure and routine.

If I sound like the right puppy for you, please let me know by filling out that application and ask for me! I’ll be waiting.
***************************

Hi, my name is Pluto. I am an 11 week old puppy who is happy, smart and very very active. My original parents did not have experience with dealing with a blind puppy and they wanted the best for me, so that is how I came to BDRA.

I love to chew on toys, preferably big boy toys. My baby teeth are razor sharp so toys are very important to me. I especially like my Chilly Bone and my caterpillar. I am learning basic commands like sit, down, step, come and walking on the leash. I’m doing well with potty training, but since I’m a puppy, I sometimes forget. I am very vocal, especially when I need to go outside, which foster daddy says is a good thing.

I love jumping on my foster parents where they give me BIG hugs and pets. I enjoy riding in the car, and now that I have my second set of puppy shots, I can now venture on walks and outings.

I would really LOVE to find a furever home that will give me a job to do, as I am very smart and active. That job to do could be walking, jogging, hiking and/or even though I am partially blind, I think I would make an excellent therapy dog.

I must say, it would be great if my furever home would take me to training at a training center, so I can quickly learn the many skills that will be needed to make me a therapy dog, and maybe more.

As I am a fully bred Australian Shepherd, I do have “herding” instincts. Because of this, it might be best for me to be in a home with children over eight. I could live as the only dog OR have a canine companion. FYI: I am currently fostered in a home with cats and dogs.
