Latest Updates

  1. Sapphire has adjusted very well. As I said before, she is very smart and picks up things well and learns the layout of the house and yard quickly. She is so good on a leash that even my 79 year old Mom could take her out and have no problem with her. She is very good in the car. She loves attention and to just be around people. When she needs to go out, she will let you know. Don’t let her diabetes deter you from wanting Sapphire. Her foster Mom never dealt with diabetes before and has found it is very easy to give shots. Insulin and needles are not expensive, and don’t require a prescription in PA.

  2. Sapphire is a petite 10 year old Siberian Husky that does not act her age at all. If you met her you would think she is a pup or 1-2 years old. She has very clean teeth and is very alert and spunky. She is good on a leash, housebroken, and crate trained. Sapphire was diagnosed with diabetes in June 2013 and she seems to be completely blind, which is a recent event, but it doesn’t stop her. She is very smart and within one day learned Up and Down and Watch, and found the doggie door by herself. She is good with some dogs and not with other dogs, so it depends on the dog. She has an alpha personality. I call her my little redheaded spitfire. She loves attention and is very good in the car.
