Tilly
Golden Retriever/Lab mix
Adopted!
Matilda aka “Tilly” is a 15 week old, Golden Retriever/Lab mix. She was suffering from juvenile cataracts and glaucoma. The glaucoma was being treated with various eye medications to try to reduce the increased eye pressure but unfortunately it did not work to reduce the pressure or prevent her from going blind. Her vet felt the best thing for her long term quality of life was to do bilateral enucleation so she didn’t have a lifetime of pain and discomfort.
In the time Tilly has been in foster care, it is apparent that this little girl hasn’t skipped a beat since her enucleation surgery and is an active, inquisitive, social girl who is a wee bit naughty and has a big personality. With her breed mix and personality she will need an active home that will continue to train and socialize her and most importantly give her activities to work her body and mind. She is going to be a busy, happy, fun and joyful addition to the right home. I think Tilly’s perfect home would include a friendly, active dog to show her the ropes in her new home and to play with.
If you think you might have the perfect forever home for Tilly, please submit an adoption application through our website.
