Wentworth is such a sweet little boy. He’s so easy-going all the time, yet surprisingly mobile for such an old man. He is AMAZING with kids of all ages, and loves to cuddle with them. He seems to actually prefer them to adults even. Wentworth is not yet neutered but it is being scheduled. He sees the vet again on 9/4, for a regular visit/eye pressure check and a bump on his belly (doesn’t seem painful to him). He does great going potty outside, but unfortunately is marking a lot inside as well, though just a few dribbles. I assume the neuter will help this issue. He sleeps through the night in a little dog bed next to our own and has the most adorable snores. He doesn’t often play with toys, but will romp around with the other dogs in our home and will also nibble on bones. He is able to eat dry food without issue. Some days, we even forget he’s blind because he gets around incredibly well. He rarely bumps into things, but be careful with him around stairs because he has no sense of where there is an edge he may fall from. He does, however, climb stairs with ease, which was very impressive! He does fairly well on a leash too. Wentworth will make a great addition to any family. He’s the least aggressive, and the absolute happiest little boy.
Update: Wentworth will receive his microchip at the time of his neuter. The vet believes the little bump on his belly is an umbilical hernia he’s probably had all of his life, and did not feel it needed intervention. He will be starting antibiotics for a UTI. Everyone at the vet’s office fell in love with him!
