She does get along with everyone but now that she has been with us going on a year now, she does much better with thunderstorms. She does not mind going out at night, and LOVES her walks around the block. She now runs and plays outside in the backyard and has learned the perimeter very well. She goes up and down stairs on her own, and has her favorite sleep spots. She can be crated now, and its not so tough on her. She is not crated often, but when we do, she does handle it much better than when she first came. She loves meal times, and treats. She is a wonderful girl!
Previous Information: Xena was rescued in Dec. from a shelter in New Jersey where she was a stray. She is estimated to be about 6 years old. She has probably not been blind her whole life and is slowly losing her vision. She plays well with our family dog and seems to get along well with the kids. She can be timid and shy due to her blindness. She does tend to be submissive with most people. She is very frightened of thunder storms and needs reassurance. I think she would be best suited in a home with someone who has a bit of free time to spend with her. She does not like spending long periods alone due to her fears and anxiety.
